I was at the 1/8 mile track on Tuesday with a friend of mine. He was testing his EK civic hatch w/ b16 and type r tranny. Any way so this guy gets inline with a brand new Audi A3 2.0T cocky as hell so I approach him, complemented his car and asked him if he had any mods done to the A3 He said he was boosting 15 psi and had chipped the stock ecu but other than that everything else was stock. So I figured our cars would be more or less the same whp (230) so I asked him for a friendly race . He asked me what I had and what mods I had on the car after some more talking he agreed . We tried to get on the line at the track and race there but it was so crowded that after about 30 minutes we decided to leave. So plans change from a drag to a street race. So we raced twice kind of, the first one was from a 10 mph roll on first gear, we get next to each other ( now I get cocky ) I told him to go and I will follow. So he goes WOT and I follow about half a second later and immediately put half a car length on first, I put 2nd on and I get about two car lengths ahead of him. I let go half way in to 3rd cus he was way back . He comes up next to me and calls me a bully . I laughed my *** off . Then my friend with the civic races him the same way and I get behind the A3 and play catch up. They go and they are about the same in the first two gears I am about 3 car lengths behind them. Now I decide to get into the race and go WOT. I pass the civic at about 4500 rpm in 4th and start riding the A3s *** right before I slap 5th gear, once on 5th I passed right buy him. All three of us stopped at a nearby gas station and he was upset at his car. I think I destroyed the owner’s enthusiasm for his car, guess he really thought he had a chance (the 7 can’t loose). Cool guy, I bet he will have a little more respect for our cars now .

is it just me or do most audi and vw guys think they're the ****. a guy in a nearly stock 95 golf w/ just the 2.0l told me he beat a tiberun gt. the other day driving through the forest to school, a shaved silver audi w/ exhaust in front of me kept trying to get me to race, the road had cars and he was passing cars on the doulbe yellow through windy mountain roads at 4in the afternoon. yeah , no thanks, i'd rather u think my car was slow than to be dead. didn't mean to thread jack, good job, now we just need to get everyone to feel a spanking at the hand of a rotary
