Ok. I dont post in here much but anyways. I am on my way to winston a while ago, a guy in around a 1999 miata followed me all the way from king. We finally get to a light with two lanes. Of course one lane is taken. So, he is behind of me. We take off and I pull a little on him. I was like, he cant be getting on it. We get to next light and some how he was infront of me, I dont remember. WEll, we take off from the light, he pulls me off the line, when he shifts to 2nd I pull a little then shift to second. In second I pulled up on his rear bumper and had to back off throttle a little bit. We cut it because it is fairly busy. We get side eachother at the next light, he hollers over, " yours is faster" I am all being nice, and I tell him, " I thought it was pretty even". He then drives off, and I turn left. Anyways, I am at the advance in King the other day, and a guy that works there see's my rotary shirt. We start talking and he sees my rx7. He asked me if I raced a miata a few weeks ago. I am like yeh. He said it was his brother in his dad's miata. I am like yeh, it was pretty even, but I wasnt spraying my nitrous. He asks what all I have done, and I tell him it is bone stock with the RB dp & presilencer. He drives the miata to work a few days later, and sure enough it is the one I raced. I was surprised, I would think that a sports car that new would be faster than that, my rx7 is one of the slowest cars I have owned. It seemed, the faster we got moving, the slower he was and the faster I was.

I raced a 96 Miata in my 86 GXl in 3rd and we were dead even for 4000RPMs.

It was like seeing snails race.
