There was a bike mag a while back that covered an AMA drag rider that took a 600cc kawasaki, put tie downs on the front forks to compress them, and cracked a 9.7x ET bone stock. I would expect an average rider to be in the 11's or so if the bike is stock, however. Most of the times I see for 600's seem to be 10's and 11's depending on the caliber of rider in question.

I'm not going to argue with you that you might be able to get into the 9's with your 900RR but for you to even think about coming close to 200MPH is BS. WIth your mods you'd be lucky to push 140RWHP. Bone stock you don't even have 115RWHP and on a Hayabusa with those mods you would be lucky to break 190RWHP. Now seeing as though aerodynamics are more of a key to breaking 200MPH than the power is you are at a HUGE disadvantage there as well with a 900RR. It's not even close to being on par in the aerodynamics department as a Hayabusa, ZX12R, ZX14R, CBR1100XX and none of those can hit 200MPH in stock form with more RWHP than your bike currently has. Even with 165RWHP it is tough to break 200MPH on a Hayabusa with perfect conditions. So I don't know what you consider almost 200MPH but if 170MPH is almost then I guess maybe you're close. Your bike barely breaks 160MPH in stock form.

Yeah it was Rickey Gadson I believe. He did it on the Kawsaki and the Yamaha but it was a 9.9X something. The Kawi was a couple tenths quicker. He lowered it and went one down on the front sprocket. It just shows you what skill can do.

If the rider knows what he's doing on that CBR600RR he can run mid to upper 10's all day long. They are much easier to launch than a litre bike or big bore bike like a Busa/12R and the CBR600RR is one modern bike that doesn't like to wheelie, jus the way they designed it. I'm not saying you can't, it just doesn't come up as easy as other bikes.

I have that video It ran a 9.77 at 137.15mph. He was riding a ZX-6R strapped down in the front.
