1st Gen SLAYS!

Okay I'm still new here but I have interesting stories every now and then, I store my car in New Carlisle, Oh. Its a little tiny town with one main road running through the center. Alot of rich people live in the area I live, they buy there kids cars and the kids of course rice them out. I've lived in the area several years and my car has become the stuff of legends around here I have the windows tinted dark enough so nobody can see inside, I did it years back just becuase.... Anyway the reason the car is so well known is I only drive it every once and awhile through town. I'll lure some riced out four banger out to a country road and blow their doors off. Its funny because my daily driver is a civic and the town is so tiny every once and awhile I'll see the kid at the gas station, but as time went by I was waiting in line at speedway and I heard a couple of kids talking. They were actually telling stories about my car and how they had beat it, I started laughing when i heard it so they were two people behind me and I said to them, you know I heard he's gonna be in town tonight, immediatly the other guys wanted to stake out 235 (the main road) and wait so they could see this kids "rad ride" beat the silver car, of course they were calling it things from corvette to ferrari. All pretty entertaining.

At about eight 'o' clock I took my Rx out and drove to town, I couldnt believe it there was a ford focus with just rims and a fart can, A dodge neon with a huge spoiler and rims (stock exhaust lol!) and a honda accord with some hideous bodykit. I rolled past them at 25 and dumped the clutch, peeled 'em good but all three pulled out of the speedway gas station and followed me. I turned onto 571 going out of town I waited for all of them to make the turn and I gunned it as hard as I could. when I shifted into third I had at least a bus length on them it was great, The focus kept up until I started redlining My shifts. By the time I passed where spangler Rd. is (about a mile and a half) I was gone, they all turned onto spangler, so I slowed down and turned around (U-turn) I backtracked to spangler and caught them as the passed Rt. 40 (about 1 mile) Spangler turns into I-675 eventually so I passively followed them until we got there they didnt even know I was behind them, So I accelerated to about 8.5K in fourth gear and I think they heard me over there fart cans because it was on again, with the same results, except this time they got off at the 235 exit and I guess circled back into town.

I cant imagine what kind off stories there telling now lol! they probably went to school and in true ricer fashion told everyone that they beat me. Ah kids these days...

Can all three of them say,

thats a good amount of mods! i thought the idea to get the motor to "rip" quicker was to get a lighter flywheel right? whats up with the heavier flywheel? not being a dick just wondering.

The heavier flywheel helps improve torque by producing more rotating mass

Thats what Im talking about. I am about to get a 1980 SA with everything not related to going fast taken off the motor. My plans for it are Halfbridge port duel 51 IDA carbs balance everything and a 60-1 or a modified S5 turbo and get a limited slip rear end I want to make about 300-350 flywheel hp it going to come out once every so often out of the garage kick some a$@ and then go back to sleep.

also for those of you that dont know a heavier flywheel lowers your usable powerband, so whereas mine would be around 6-8K, its more like 4.5-6K therefore increasing engine life, and saving some gas

No, focus was like a bus length back and he wasnt gaining or losing ground, but I was shifting easy. So then I laid into it and that was all she wrote.

I was just having fun, I mean c'mon there kids. The four bangers arent really worth it because nobody invests in them to actually make them fast around here..... The six's are more fun, besides like I said there kids, I was just trying to scare them. hell with the way I left him and already having a lead like that, he probably thought I hit the 'NAWS' button.....
I just thought this would be entertaining, its not really supposed to be impressive, anyway here are the pix... (sorry I dont have any good engine pix right now)

No I forget what it actually adds up to but if you have the factory service manual, or the owners manual the port volume I think is like 1146CC so it is 1.146 Liters or if you round down (you cant round up, its only .146) it ends up being a 1.1 liter, to be honest I dont know why they call it '12'A but it does sound better than 11A....

I dont think I'm following.... I dont think I said they were blacked out they just have slightly darker tint than factory, and I dont think I said anything in the contrary, if I did my mistake.

LOL. A legendary fast car.

Thats funny that you're even local(well sort of). I wish my town was all gossip like that. They see my piece o' junk and think its not worth racing, when they see it from the front, the front mount is too intimidating to race. I never get a break!

Are you on ohiorotaries.com? If not you should join. Maybe we can put a rotary meet some where in between cincy and dayton.
