1984 fb vs 2003 kawasaki Z1000
A coulple of weeks back I had just finished changing the oil in my car, so I decieded to take it for a spin. I merged onto the freeway and 5 seconds later a naked sport bike pulled up beside me and started to jump at me. At the time I thought it was a 600 bandit..... which would have been funny. So I put it in 3rd and waited on him to go, soon after he punched it and I retaliated. As soon as my boost hit 15 pounds I went sideways so I shifted into 4th thinking that I will hook.... nope, I'm almost looking at the gardrail so I let off and straiten up. I then siglened to him that I wanted to get on the up coming strait streach. So after a coulple of atempts to run, we line up and again I wait for him to go, soon after he did, I rolled on it in 3rd gear. I was pulling away slowly untile he hit redline and had to shift and thats when I started putting some lenghts on him. We then pull over and talk, I didn't know it at the time but I actually knew the guy, and thats when I found out that I just stomped a liter bike. All in all not to bad of a kill considering we went from 65 ish to about 155 and I was pulling the hole time.

Good kill I like seeing cars beating bikes in no BS races.
Remember though the Z1000 is far from big boy litre bike power. The GSXR1000, R1, CBR1000RR, and R1 are much much quicker/faster and much more powerful. The true litre bikes have around 150 to 160RWHP and high 70's low 80ftlbs of torque and run the quarter in low 10's high 9's, the Z1000 puts out 125RWHP and hi 68ftlbs of torque. The supersport 600's (CBR600RR, ZX6R, R6, GSXR600) run a 1/4 mile a couple tenths faster than the Z1000 and have a quicker roll-on speed. Not bursting your bubble because that's still impressive just don't want you to be confused if you come against another litre bike with different results.

I never said it was a crotch rocket, I said it was a naked sport bike.... which can do mid 10 second 1/4 mile passes. I beat this bike a little less than the 600 crotch rockets that I have ran in the past. The z1000 pulled harder off the start than any of the 600's. And your not bursting any bubbles, I have riddin serveral 1000cc crotch rockets and yes this one does not have as much power as the z1000. I just think its funny when people on motor cycles think they are the fastest thing on the road and they think that no car can beat them, then they get there fellings hurt when you do, or talk about beating one.
