ok so he was over 400/450hp and still ran mid 12's. i had 380hp and ran well into the 11's.... on 245 fuzions...... i am just curious as to why he has such slow times for a good sized turbo and decent HP numbers. and the almighty light car. |
also where in florida are you from? orlando? did you ever by any chance have a "close call" on 50 in downtown orlando racing someone?

i'm glad at least some people in here know the potential of an ls1. they are very easy to mod and make run very well, which is why alot of people let it go to their heads.
and like LUPE said, check out ls1tech's cam only list and bolt on lists.... i believe the fastest N/A ls1 fbody is in the mid 8's. hell my ls1 went mid to high 11's in the 120 range with bone stock EVERYTHING on street tires with a kit. they don't take much to run like hell. so some of you idiots need to learn a bit about what you race/talk shit but know nothing about before running your mouth. |

These guys raced from a roll, so the fact that this LS1 ran 10.XX or whatever is pointless. What did those cars trap? Low 120's Im guessing. I have a half bridge TO4R FD that traps in the low 130 and would have raped this. At 18lbs he should be trapping at least 125 or so if it is tuned right. No bolt on LS1 is going to be anywhere near that unless it is stuffed in an FC or spraying a good shot.

Wow, again my car was running in the low 10s and even dipping into the 9s (AFRs) that night. So along with the break up you can assume that my car wasn't running right. Otherwise I would rapped him real bad. We are having a rematch this spring when I get back and I will be running C16 with my race plugs in. He is going on the bottle too.
