Why Build?
A buddy of mine is selling his FC on EBAY. The car has been a race car all its life, directly from Mazda Canada and is about the quickest and prettiest FC Racecar there is with stock body panels. Just looking at the car and the price he is asking makes me all depressed as it makes me wonder how much mine is worth........... Crap, the motor almost cost that much to build.

The beast makes monster power as well as the owner had the motor built with all new parts when he was a Mazda Dealer.
This car is the Easy button to go fast in.

his timing is bad, in the US we're facing an election. we are also looking at fiscal "cliff". cliff is a bad way to look at it, as we are already seeing its effects.
so really he'd do better to sell it in early 2013, if the world hasn't ended.
car looks nice though

Yeah, I would say people enjoy building a car. Also the chance of putting in the extra things you think noone else has! hehe
As well not everyone's standards are the same!
But realistically, yes it does make sense to buy a built car. You can get some amazing cars in $20-$40g price range that would cost upwards of $100g+ to build!
