What 7's can enter ITS?

Hi, I'm a newbie looking forward to joining SCCA regional races. I have a 88 Turbo. I am not sure which class I can enter. I read that IT classes are the best place for budget racers. But from photos that I've collected it seems that no turbo in ITS. Is this true? how about other IT classes?

I'm new to everything so whatever you can tell me about, please do so. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Benny

The SCCA isn't real friendly with turbo cars. I believe the only place you can possibly go would be ITEverything or Super Production. Depending on your regions rules, SP might be the only class for you. Some regions ITE rules state that the car must have been prepared and/or raced in an established series.

Benny,

I guess I'm right around the corner, you're welcome to drop by and look over my ITS car, I can fill you in.

I live near Landess/So Park Victoria, e-mail me for directions and a time.

yeah it wouldnt matter if it was a geo storm turbo, i believe they'd put any turbo in ITE. the downside of running an FC in ITE is the fact that your competion is E30 M3's, corvettes, and other big bore cars.

the reason behind that rule being that it would be very hard to regulate. it would become a boost war, and this is AMATEUR racing. that would become costly and hard to regulate at the same time.
