Great pics! Im hoping to attend a event next spring when i get back from the middleeast. Any regs you need to pass to be eligible. I know helmet is required, but anything else safety wise?

 

You got blackflagged for illegal passing during your first event? I hope you've done HPDE's before in another car? A noob doing illegal passes in the rain just sounds downright dangerous!

I kind of enjoy doing events in the rain, the guys on slicks get all paranoid, and are much easier to pass. It's also a much bigger challenge to control the rear-end, but that just adds to the fun.

 

yes and yes. i run in expert/instructor group. at drivers meeting, they said we can pass on this one particular straight, but said they may change their minds later. so on my second session, i passed there because nothing was said. so when i came in, the guy said no problem, because they never announced that they changed to no passing on that particular section. no biggy. he laughed about it and said he loved the car
