A while back when I was at the track (first time running) Jose Rotary was there and I asked him for advice on what to do, he told me to go around the water and NOT warm up the tires as it would be just a waste of tread. I watched everyone else warm up their tires everyone from the "big un's" to the civics with intakes and thats about it. I never seemed to have a traction problom with all that VHT (I think thats what it is that tire sticky crap) I just griped and went away, didnt run as well as I hoped but that was my first and I was haveing turbo issues. Anyways whats your thoughts on this.

for street tires, warming them up wont really help THAT much. Civics just do it because they think they are cool. I would recommend warming them up just alittle though, espically if its a cold night out. Ernie T or LUPE would know more on this subject, i think drag racing sucks

Yea I dont care for doing all to much my self but its the "in" thing for the car scene down here and I just have to show them all what a 7 can do! Speaking of which I raced a supra later that day which have the SAME mods (except he had a boost contoller) as me and he beat me on the first run becuse he turned up his boost, the second run he kept it noraml (so he claimed) and I killed it (1 car lenth but hey its a win)
Slicks or drag radials-....drive around the water box then back up into it and get tires wet. Roll out of burnout box forward then about 2 feet. Then begin burnout.
What et/mph did you run? What were the air temps?
