Tire size question

Going to the track this sunday and going to buy some new tires. I was looking at Falkens. Got a 16 size rim. What would the the best size and the 2nd best size? Also would it be better for wider tires in the rear than the front or even size all around, if dealing with the 2nd best.

So you have a 16x7 rim? I'd go with a 225 in as low a profile as is available in the tire you choose. Are you buying RT615s? Other excellent choices are the new Hankook tire(not sure of model, but it heavily reviewed), Kumho MX, Advan 07, BFG KD, Falken RT215 if you can find them. The Hankook is new, but well recieved, and you cannot go wrong with the falkens, or the Kumho(my favorite). If you have an 8" rim, and coilovers, a 235 is a good bet. Carl
