Time attack tires for rx-7

I have a problem that I'm glad to have. My wife has started using my ITA 1st gen RX-7 for high speed AX. I would like her to use a max performance summer tire so I don't have to use my race tires. Problem is, not much out there for a 13" rim. For now she'll just heat cycle my Hankooks but she really isn't using them anywhere near their capabilities, hence my search for a h/p summer street tire so she can have a dedicated set of her own. Anyone know of one I've overlooked?

Wow, I think the only thing decent is a Toyo RA1 in a 13 inch, which is not really what your looking for? Maybe step to 14 inch wheels so you can run Dunlop Star Specs?

^ also r888. similar.

Avon CR6 ZZ are DOT radials with 175/70 and 185/70/13. Not cheap. H-rated though, so you better not go faster than 130 mph in your auto-x.

If you are considering the Toyos, I'd recommend looking at the 13" Hoosier R6. It has much more grip and is only a couple bucks more than an RA-1 or R888.

You can get the R888s for about 150 bucks each. You can get another set of Hankook Ventus for 140 each. Otherwise, there's just not much out there.

Used to have Sumitomo HTR 200s, but they've disappeared this year. Those were available in 205 or 215 widths.

I think he's right - getting her dedicated rims (maybe even going 15s) could be cheaper overall. Can you fit 205/50/15s? Lots of options there.

Didn't see a Hankook Ventus in a 13 or 14 inch tire, maybe I missed it? Actually didn't see really any tires in a 13 inch besides the R compounds, which is not what he really wanted. Wait did you mean Ventus Z214? Sorry thought you meant Ventus V12 or RS-3s.

Even just the Dunlop Star Spec was like the only max summer tire I could find available in a 14 inch. 15's would definitely open up way more options.

Pretty sure no Hankook's in 13" except for DOT R's which I run for club racing. I have a set of Hankook v12 EVO's on my S2000 and I know this is more than enough tire for her. She will have her own rims but my car is so lowered that 14's might not work. I want a tire that has lots of heat cycles. My Hankook's and Hoosiers r6's don't care if I put a 30 minute race on them or a slow 15 min practice for her. A heat cycle is a heat cycle. I'm probably going with the Toyo R888 or the RA-1. The 888 comes in a 225/45/13, the RA-1 205/60/13. Other than these two, I haven't found anything else
