Throttle Cutoff
Throttle Cutoff
Hey there, my EMS is Power FC. I can deactivate the throttle cutoff, but i have some questions about it, which couldnt be answered yet..
Does the ignition system work on deceleration? With the Power FC i can manage the FuelCut and just keep the injection on deceleration.
In motorsports its common NOT to use the throttlecutoff, because of thermal benefits, and engine safety. I dont care about emissions and stuff, so i want to know how it works.
Well if a deactivate the throttlecutoff, my lambda reads something about 14.5:1 on deceleration.. is the exhaust heated up, i get some 5ft flames out of the exhaust
this is way too much. i wonder how "lean" i can go, and not harming the engine or the turbo at all..
there are also lean spots which i think are dangerous for the engine. for example you are running +140mph, and let off the gas-pedal. between WOT and throttle cutoff, you get some lean AFR, which COULD be dangerous for the engine.. iff throttle cutoff deactivated, you dont get such spots. Well, you get worse gas-milage, but i dont care! the rotary isnt supposed to save fuel
