Here is a short video of Group 1 qualifying for last Saturday's race. I'll get more video up when I finish editing.

Hi Gracer,

I do run a 90 degree turn on the exhaust tip. I probably don't need to as I'm usually around 95-98 db with a 101 or 103 db limit, depending on time of session. But I'd hate to have a back fire or pop at the sound booth and get the "meatball".

See you at the track,

Guy

On Sunday, I qualified 9th overall (1:40.4) and finished 13th / 7th in class with a fast time of 1:40.6 in lap 15. So here's the deal. I greatly exceeded the braking capacity of my mostly stock system this past weekend. In Saturday's race I ended up in the kitty litter at T2 on lap seven, was able to extract myself and limped to the pits. I did what I could to address the issues prior to Sunday's race and decided that I needed to slow down from my 1:40 qualifying to roughly the 1:45-1:48 range to make it to the end of the race. I have video of this race but it is painful to watch as I have to let so many cars pass and find space where I can run my pace. As I neared the end of the race the brakes were OK and and I lowered my times back to the 1:40 range. I you want to see this, I'll post it otherwise I'll probably wait until we return to Laguna the second week of June.

Here is the full length video from Sunday's race. I qualified 9th overall (1:40.4) and finished 13th / 7th in class with a fast time of 1:40.6 in lap 15. At the start I backed up through the field until I could run the pace I wanted.

BTW, I bought a front Brembo kit to take care of my braking issues, I'm sure it will be all grins at Laguna Seca next month.

Bill Lackey was crazy fast with his LS1 FD RX7 (blue blur that passes me in T2 during lap seven). He seems to have the car pretty well sorted out!
