SCCA - San Francisco Round Three Laguna Seca vid

Here is edited video from last Saturday’s Group 1 race at Laguna Seca. I qualified seventh with a 1:39.8 and finished seventh with a best lap time of 1:40.0 in lap 14 of 16. For Sunday’s race I qualified sixth with a 1:39.7 and finished fourth with a best lap time of 1:39.6 in lap 8 of 17. There were several non-finishers Sunday which allowed me to finish fourth even after blowing off my IC piping. Without boost my car is a fancy, Sealed Spec Miata. Bill Lackey (blackey) won both races with his LS1-FD, but he did have a healthy battle Sunday with a Turbo S2000.

Way to go!

Your camera is well-placed, too. We can see your hands, your feet, and a nice landscape out the windscreen. I'm partial to yellow '93s, so it's fun to see, especially on tracks I know (I saw your other T-hill and Infineon videos, too). Thanks for posting it up!

Guy,

Thanks for the awesome vid! Makes me want to hold onto my FD even more --Not sure whether that's a good thing or not

I definitely remember your and SHPNOUT's FD's at the last tuning session with the pretty CCW's that I can't afford. Was your car the one with the 500R?

Thanks again for the vid.

Josh

Hi Josh,

Glad you enjoyed the videos. I'm having a lot of fun out there! As for turbo setups, Niles (shpnout) has the GT3574 single in his car, mine has the BNRs. I'm thinking I'll go with a single set up in the fall but I need to save a couple paychecks first.

You should come on out to the track sometime and see this stuff firsthand!

Looks like you're having alot of fun out there. I noticed your net gets in the way sometimes, may consider moving it over a bit.

can't wait to finish my fd

Thanks for stopping by Al. Yeah, the net thing is not really a big deal unless I'm wearing one of my big bling rings!

OK Al, now quite screwing around surfing the forum and finish your build. We all want to hear that sequential box in action!

haha, I knew you were a thug!

I had some good progress this weekend, I finally started the floor, I've been putting it off for almost a year.

I can't wait to join you on the track.

Keep having fun and be safe.
