scared to lanch

About to get my car finely tuned at XS in a week. This is going to probably make my car have 350 or so at the wheels. Now I know I need to upgrade my suspension to do this. What I was planning on doing is getting springs and struts. Probly Tokico struts and racing beat springs. And also grab hold of a LSD. I am wondering if this will hold a launch that an FD with 350 RWHP has without snapping anything or horrible wheel hop? I have the Z rated Michelin tires on right now. I think it is 350Z? Any good for 1/4 runs? Any help very appreciated

i've currently got just a tad over 350rwhp and i get a lot of wheelhop. i upgraded to a kaaz diff before i headed to the track so i wouldn't have to worry. so far that only thing i've broken is an axle, but i had really bad wheelhop during a burnout once and it just snapped. come out of the hole easy until you can get a kaaz, then you can launch like an SOB

Same as above. I have (had, engine blown) 400 rwhp. Went to the track launched 3 times and about 10 feet off the line on the third shot the diff went out. Got a Kaaz and feels nice. Still get bad wheelhop.( Thats is just fact of life with this car) Some 300m axles would be good as the stockers snap like twigs!! As spoolin93 knows!Like he said,, launch slow then bang it home!!

I blew my diff and installed a KAAZ, works great and still get some wheelhop eventhough I replaced my pillowball bushings. I still love it. I feel more confident

Spoolin93r1 and BigIslandSevens did you guys figure out what was causing the wheel hop???

Basically it is one of the downfalls of the IRS system.( Independent Rear Suspension) Hence most "serious" drag racers use a solid rear end. The IRS is great for handling but as far as hard launches go they can be costly. I have heard that the HKS Drag coilovers are OK and help a little but thats alot of $$ to spend for minor improvments.Just have to either have spare parts or easy launches iguess.( or just go Road Racing instead)
