Roll cage fabrication & body work in South CA

Im beginning to look into this as it might be this year I have to replace the engine on my FC. Any recommendations for a competent roll cage fabricator in the South CA area (SD, LA, OC)? Most likely im looking at a chrome moly 6 point cage, gussets on the a pillar etc etc and the rest of the chassis seam welded but details would be worked out with the builder.

Im primarily interested in a shop thats done FC work before and knows the areas on the frame more prone to flex/bending over time due to increased suspension loads.

Also, any recommendations on body shops to have interior/exterior resprayed afterwards? Thanks.

Call Tony at AWR (http://www.awrracing.com/) and he can give you a contact for a fabricator in San Diego. He has done several FC's and many other Mazdas in various pro race series. very nice and well engineered.

Tony (AWR) is great and I can recommend him also, but you can also call Matt @

Performance Solutions
2730 Gundry Ave.
Signal Hill, CA 90755
(562) 490-0117

He does all of the Mazdtrix racecars... good fabricator with good pricing!

His shop is right behind the Mazdatrix shop.

Matt at Performance Solutions did my IC and radiator mounting & piping work. He did a great job on it -- everything fits very well, is mounted securely, works great, and should last a long time. I am impressed with how thorough he was with the design and execution (ducting, clearances, all the detail stuff, etc).

He also does cages and other work for lots of Mazda race cars including work on the Mazdatrix cars like Berny mentioned. He really seems to do it all -- the variety of vehicles I have seen at his shop is pretty impressive, and all the work that I have seen looks excellent and well thought out.
