Great weekend racing last weekend, 270 cars there, almost 40 in the Sports and GT group that I was racing in. A huge variety of cars, the ex Ray Williams land speed record leopard skin GT2 Porsche, a new GT2, a 997 GT3 RSR, a big TranzAm, a Juno and other open top sports cars and a Jag XK 120 with a v12 quad turbo in it … you get the idea.

Race 1 - Qualifying was bedlam with such a varied field, didn't get a decent time so started P22, had a good battle in the 2nd half of the race with a Porsche, got through to 13th.



Race 2 - Started 13th and had fun chasing down and getting past a highly modded Vauxhall, finished 11th.


Race 3 - Reverse grid handicap start, grid spot 32 with 40 secs delay, plenty of action, the fast guys came through early in the race, finished 13th.


Race 4 - Reverse grid handicap start, the rain started when we got called to the dummy grid, most of us on slicks, my wipers decided to give up the ghost … just as well there was some RainX on the the screen. Started grid box 31 with 45 secs delay, more grip than I was expecting, got through to 8th.



Time to start plunging the next event :-)
