Race Suit-Two choices, help me decide

I am about to invest in a race suit and I am trying to decide between these two.
Sparco 06 Sprint
http://www.saferacer.com/spsp06rasu.html
Or G-Force 545
http://www.saferacer.com/gf545rasu.html

I am planning on running high speed time trials, open tracking events and track days. I am leaning towards the Sparco but just wondering if I am just paying for a name. The G-force is their top of the line and the sparco is their bottom of a line, which do you think is better? Thanks for your input.

Sparco. That's a great sale price. It's a 3 layer suit, the G force is only 2 layer. Both have SFI 5 rating. As an added benefit you get the name...

Just because one says economical and the other says top of the line does nothing to compare.

Ok, I will throw my two cents in. I have seen both suits. Look at the features. Rated the same, one is 3 layer and 1 is two layer. Sparco is cut Euro style, G-force is cut to fit the average American male. Broader in the shoulders, chest and hips. Unless you are a stick figure, the sparco will be a tight fit and tights is not good for fire protection a loose fit suit will be better.

Sparco has ankle cuffs that ride up when you sit down exposing your ankles unless you tuck them in your shoes, G-Force has hidden Cuffs with full length pants, there is actually a second layer of protection for the ankles. That is a bonus!

Sparco has no extras, G-force give you the Euro style shoulder/arm pits. They give you the epaulets, and a flexible waist band. It is a shiny nomex which is what most people want.

I guess I am saying the G-force has a lot to offer for the money. You should really try them on and sit down to see how they fit. Nothing worse than wearing a suit that is really uncomfortable.

Thanks for the info, this is kinda what I was thinking. I am actually pretty skinny so the sparco should fit fine. The cuff thing is good to know. I am having a hard time finding any stores in Chicago that carry any racing suits, I wish I could try these on before buying. Grrr

I have the G force and I love it. It has the 5 rating, while only being 2 layer, making it a bunch cooler inside the car! The quality is great, and it looks and fits great, now Sparco has got name cred...

I am very happy with my IMPACT racing suit. The entry level suit. 3.2a/5....two layer. Box stitched...belt,pockets, legg cuffs......etc....Great suit and it fits like it was made for me. I'm 6/3, 190. Great customer service.
Order direct from them They threw in gloves and shoes with my order.....I asked them for a deal and they gave me one. Very happy with them.

I have the Gforce 545 - hands down the best value. Discovery Parts sells these for $399 I believe. Its a killer deal.

I had an older style suit and it fit like a potato sack. I couldnt reach the belts in my RX. With the 545, movement is so much better. Its also much cooler.

Sounds like a commercial?!
