I'm currently juggling different tire brands but am wondering what is the optimum width/height for the stock 16x7 rim. (this is for autocross)

you get the idea. i am leaning towards the purchase of kumho victoracers, falken azenis, yoko avs', or maybe even yoko a032r if i can afford em'. thanks.

I've got khumo v700 race tires in 225/50 all around on a set of stockers for my track setup. They fit great. If this is an autox setup I'd go for the khumos over those others.

I drive with 225/50 on my '89, but they're on 16x8 wheels.

 

. . . so it is a bad idea to go 225s on a 7" rim? I was thinking 225-50-15s on some 15x7 4 lug wheels for my FC. What do you think?

 

im going with 225's since the victoracer's only come in that size for a 16" and they recommend it for a 7-8" rim.
