Ok... now for springs and struts??
I think Silkworm has the right idea on sharing info so lets talk springs and struts.
Brand:
Weight: ie 140lbs/in
struts:
And any other parts or pieces that you feel made an improvement. Maybe include sway bar specs.
On my 87 GXL:
Springs were Susp. techniques
Weight: The fronts I don't remember but the rears were 140lbs/in
struts: KYBs
I installed poly bushings on the factory sway bars and installed a mazdatrix vertical link(adj) in the rear. I also had the bushings in the rear knuckles replaced with hard bushings. This eliminated the toe changes in the rear susp. Oh yea, 1 more thing. I welded the factory rear strut tower bushings so they had no cushion< great mod

I've got the default MazdaComp setup:
88 GXL
400 lb/in front, 275 lb/in rear
Koni single adjustables, with Mazdacomp coilover setup (damn those strut tubes are some heavy duty stuff)
Delrin everywhere, PITA, but feels great.

Paul,
Did you use the GC camber plates in the front? I am interested in how you set up the struts with spacers so they dont slide up and down in the monoball of the camber plates. I just installed the Koni set up on my car.

No, Mazda Comp has their own setup.. So not sure on the GC camber plates. On mine, the top of the strut goes thru the pillow ball, then a spacer goes over that, then a nut..

Thanks Paul,
I guess the comp setup is a bit different. I was concerned about the amount of the unthreaded strut shaft that was above the ball. Maybe not. I built aluminum spacers for the rear so I guess I can do the same for the front. Are you aware that the rears are for a Porsche?
