need advice on fuel cell
do you guys think $250 is too cheap for a 15 gallon fuel cell with a 0-90 ohm GM sending unit WITH cell foam with fittings already installed?
here are the details from the e-bay store:

this is coing from an e-bay store that has lots of good feedback.
what do you think?

I have only used bladder type cells, that required a metal "can" around them. So I do not know what a good price for an aluminum one is... but that looks like a decent price if it is new with fittings.
If you plan on racing the car, check the sanctioning organization rules. You'll need a Fuel Safe or ATL cell if running NASA or SCCA, RCI won't cut it.
Is it a good price? A quick Google search should confirm. Think about how you are going to plumb it, I spent a few hundred just on AN fittings and braided hose.

None of the RCI fuel cells listed on the site (RCI's site) have any SFI or FIA ratings.
In the technical section they have a SFI button.. but there is no link to certifications.
IIRC the RCI cells are oriented to the small town/small track roundy round racers who have a older car that they are making into a mini-stock.. or some such.. and take out the factory fuel tank, and mount a RCI in there someplace.
That APPEARS to be made with the same thought process as others.. BUT.
No ballistic bladder inside.
If the aluminum gets a crack or puncture you have fuel on the ground or inside the car.
If you have a bladder.. the bladder theoretically will help prevent the fuel spill.
If you are going to race with a sanctioning group like SCCA and or NASA I dont believe they will allow non rated fuel cells to run. I think that things like the plastic rotary molded cells are LESS safe than factory fuel tanks in a crash as they rupture. THe sanctioning groups frown on non-rated cells. Too much risk.
