NASA NorCal @ Infineon March 10, 2012

Anybody going? I'll be there with a quickly built PTE Miata trying to get signed off for my competition license. Yes, the RX7 motor is slowly coming together, but frustration took over and we threw a bunch of safety gear in a 142Kmi 1990 Miata so I could go get the license and collect seat time.

No ETA on the 13BT from Haag other than "almost all the parts have arrived." Mike chose the RA Superseals for the build rather than stock apex seals...

Anyway, anybody hitting March 10th? It'd be nice to "know" somebody kicking around the paddock...

I'll be there Sunday for sure (running the Enduro). Still not sure about Saturday. My in-laws will have the car in HPDE3 and 4 on Saturday

I'll be a faded red 1991 Miata (#4 PTE) with the Rookie Rs and orange duct tape on the rear. If you're around I could probably use a friendly face as I go through the day. :-) I booked a hotel room for Saturday night assuming I'll get signed off Saturday and I'll hopefully try to run my first PTE race Sunday... so I'll be around if you need an extra set of hands...

Sounds good Glen. Good Luck!
As long as you know the rules and don't do anything stupid on track, you should be good to go for Sunday

We (wife and I) are still trying to sort out the weekend. If I am there on Saturday, I will try to track you down

of all things, tommy sprained his ankle, so we probably won't have the car done... :/

NASA is a good group though, everyone is really cool. actually if you have any problems/questions ask Mr Butterfield, he's good people, and he'd better win again, cause we're not there!

Get signed off in the morning and race in the afternoon. Both days. We need more PTE cars since the honda is a no-show.

I hope everyone had fun and hope Glen got licensed We didn't make it out today for the enduro. Long story of coulda/shoulda. I hear it ran ok yesterday with some technical bugs still needing to be worked out.

Nice to meet you Saturday, Eric. I ran the PTE race Saturday afternoon after getting signed off in the first session in HPDE4 that morning. Eval lap: 2:14.4, race lap: 2:17.x. Came back Sunday to get another clean day in... ran consistent 2:14.x when the traffic thinned Sunday in the race with a best of 2:14.1 -- which sucks for Sears, but in a 1.6L 142Kmi Miata with a Flyin Miata street suspension I'll try not to whine.

At this point I have two clean races and plan to go to Thunderhill in April to complete the provisional...
