"teasing" is the correct characterization as other than promoting mazda concept cars styling cues it would see that it is just a good way to get a bit more out of the original LMP2 investment that would otherwise be collecting dust....

things do appear to be getting more interesting on the rotary front with the 16X on the near horizon.

It's true, that chassis was scrap anywho. Now if they built/offered this as a roadgoing car I would start selling my limbs and organs. Likely to remain simply a concept. Their design department does not sleep I imagine as mentioned in one of the articles.
