Instrument Guages

I have a very strange problem with my intrument cluster after installing my Haltech.

I remove all the stock engine wire harness and I think I removed a little to much wires.
My guages will work when the Ignition key is on and when I attemp to start the car the guage will work because the tach will indicate starting RPM, but when the engine starts and runs the tach gauge will indicate no RPM or it will go to max, as the engine Idles and I turn the steering wheel all or most of the guages jumps like as if they want to indicate something.

The speed ometer digits will show just before starting and when the engine starts all the digits disappears.

What could be the problem? help me out here.
The car is a 93 FD manual trans with a single turbo upgrade.

My guess is that you're missing a ground wire to the guages.

When you turn the steering wheel, the power steering switch grounds out part of that circuit, so I'm guessing that supplies a "phantom" ground in place of the one that's missing.

I'd start with instrument cluster terminal 1E as shown on page C-1a of the wiring diagram (page Z-44 of the FSM).

Happy hunting!

OK thanks alot
I figure it was a ground, I will check that out
They were working before I installed my Haltech; Where I pulled the entire engine harness out, is there a connector I was not supposed to pull?
I also realized that the check engine light used to be on also and now its not it has to be a ground. Is there another location where I can ground out the entire instrument cluster?

I'm not a Haltech expert, but it might not support the check engine light. You might search the Haltech Forum for it.
