Help me figure out where I should head with my project

I have an 85 RX-7 that I built up from the frame. The engine is an n/a series 4 13B with a standalone engine management. I have no interior, no heater, nothing stock.

The conflict I'm having is that I don't know what my goal is with this car. I currently autocross a little (this is the year I'm getting into it heavily) and enjoy that a lot. Unfortunately, I don't think my car can be competitive in the classes that it fits in. I also want to eventually get into wheel to wheel racing, but again I don't think that I really fit into any classes that my car could compete in.

I'm looking for any sort of guidance on this and any recommendations of the next step I should take. Specifically, what would be required to conform my car to a specific class in which I could be competitive. I'm not concerned at this point about eliminating options because of money limitations or driver ability (I currently drive an open wheeled car pretty regularly and have a decent amount of solo experience, no w2w yet though).

Just trying to get the brainstorming started before I put in a roll cage that moves me out of yet another class . Thanks.

with the current modifications to the car there are not many choices. probably a good idea to check around in your area and see which classes and sanctioning bodies have good turnout and see what future modifications will be needed to your car. as it stands I can guaratee you will need to swap the engine. first gens are still competitive in E production and ITA(depending on region), and there are still spec and pro7 classes in some regions. but I would get a rulebook before making any more changes to the car.
