Those are nice. I hope no one else already has that number. That would really suck

...but then I go to a National Tour or ProSolo event and get murdered. I have not yet even made it to midpack in SS in 3 tries.

Nice! I'm still in the stage of hoping to keep my car on course at the moment though

No offense intended Damon, but anyone can beat a Z06, or any fast car for that matter, if you are a better driver

I think I've finally got my car dialed in and I'm beating Z06s in ET now too although I'm cheating somewhat I'm running in SM2 and they're running in SS. On PAX I'm still only taking down the slower drivers.

Actually, i was just looking over the results from my 1st autocross, and I actually got pretty close to a Z06.

http://www.swvrscca.org/July2004_fin.htm#ss

I'm number 88. 67, and 206 are both Z06s.

Wow you could have won the SM2 class in your area On a more serious note though you're doing really well especially if you aren't running on R compound tires (Like AS03 or V700s). From the times it looks like you get some pretty good size courses to run on too which should help the 7 out.

If you have any drivers that run at the national events take a look at their PAX times at the national events and then compare your PAX time to theirs at your local events. This will give you a guage on how well you're really getting to the limit even if you don't have "national level competition" in the class you're running in.

Sure I'm not getting there today or maybe even the next 2 years but its nice to have a target to go after

hehehe

All the 2 digit numbers for SOLO I were taken in our area, so I had to improvise!

Magnet Numbers

I don't think I'll be in Prepared anymore when I finally get it going though, so I'll have to make new ones.

Yeah, I'm running on the tires that came with the car, Dunlop SP Sport 5000's. That region is actually not close to me, but a friend of mine (WVRx7 here on the board) live there and they're small and I thought it would be a good place to pop my autox cherry. WVRx7 gave me great tips and instruction and I learned boatloads from riding with him. He had FTD that day.

The lot they run on is small, so they design the course to have a flying lap. If you look at my times you'll see my second run was really long. I got out of shape in the slalom and once I got the car undercontrol, all I could think of was making the next turn. Well that next turn put me on a 3rd lap.

Shouldn't you be running ASP/SM2 with a down pipe. Time for new letters.

I should be but that got overlooked when I got classed at my first event since they didn't ask, and I didn't think about it.

The letter portion of the numbers shouldn't be to hard to alter, I was actually already thinking about this anyway since I just put some Eibach springs on my car, which I think would change my class anyway regardless of the DP?

If the mods in your sig are the only ones you have then Yes. You would also be legal for SM2 of course if you chose to go there.

Yeah, sig is up to date. What's the major difference between ASP and SM2? (sorry for the stupid questions)

The difference is the modifications that are allowed. Check out the rules.
