Im in the process of starting the brake installation on the race car project. has anyone done this mod. and anyhelp or ideas will be greatly app. I am currently using stoptech 4 pot caliper kit in the front. and wanted to install the front calipers to the rear. but dont know then what rotor to use.

well. you need to do some math to find about your MC and your rear calipers match. BTW you know you will loose parking brake. also I think some one already make a kit for putting 4 piston calipers into rear. I think wide foot make it. and few shop in japan also do. Button line if you can find a good machine shop. you could make this fit , but do you really need it. cause if you are light enught. dont need that much brake. but it also depend on your power level

im contemplating even doing it anymore. i ran my regular street car with a bbk and regular brakes in the rear and it ran fine. that car weight almost 1200 lbs mor than this one. so i may just scratch that whole idea and find some OEM ream brake calipers again.

 

Use the stock or 99 spec rears and only put on a bigger rear brake caliper if for some reason you find you actually need it after racing the car. I doubt you will.

 

You could just install a brake-balance **** for the front brakes, my buddy did it on his racecar and it works well.
