Front bumper bracing
Hi,
First off, I'm not competing in any racing series' or anything, just trying to make a competent car.
I've bought the shineautoproject FC3S front diffuser with underbelly pan for my 10th anniversary and an S5 bumper to go along with the lip/diffuser. I riveted the lip to the bumper and its very solidly connected to the bumper now, but in the middle it is flimsy and can bend away from the bumper. I used some metal rods to make two braces between the bumper and the lip across the main front intake hole. The braces are secure, but they don't really help at all because the bumper is so flimsy.
Does anyone know any good way to reinforce the bumper so that I can make this a good solid diffuser lip?
thanks in advance!
Tom
