Hi guys,

Wasn't sure were to find the people who would be most interested in these seats so I figured i would post it up here:

Variety of Fixed Buckets, most of them have KEVLAR Shells, "infinite deflection" properties.

They also produce Carbon Shell versions, just a tad pricier. eh...

IMOLA S: 18LBS

SUZUKA S: 18.7 LBS

SEBRING S: 20 LBS

EVOLUTION S: 19.8LBS

More info from their website:

"Cobra Technology®. Now your unfair advantage is your seat.

A level of comfort beyond your dreams. Support and location that defies belief and a strength beyond comprehension. Cobra Technology® will redefine your expectations of a Motorsport seat.

Designed through years of extensive research with professional race and rally drivers, Cobra believe that the ultimate seat is now available for all types of Motorsport.

A shell weight that challenges convention. Cobra Technology® is available in Imola, Suzuka and Evolution format in two widths. The shell weights start at 3.75 kilos for the Imola, reaching just 5.1 kilos for the heaviest design, the Evolution. Each shell is manufactured in pure carbon, using revolutionary moulding techniques and unique processes to produce an individually numbered masterpiece of composite engineering.

Added to the shell is a dual density, three layer structure of Confor® foam. Confor® foam is a unique material and under sustained pressure and exposure to body warmth will soften and flow, conforming to a driver's body. Unlike normal foam, Confor® will dissipate impact energy, instead of recoiling and amplifying it. The result is the filtration of all vibration and impact energy, whilst the seat is still telling you exactly what the car is doing.

Designed for NASA and used in Formula One, these heat-sensitive, energy absorbing cushions mold to our body on contact, providing a fluid-like support that distributes your weight evenly, giving you a seat that fits perfectly every time."

"These diagrams show the pressure map for a traditional foam seat (l) and a Cobra Technology seat (r) using Confor foam*.

*Source: EAR Publications. Confor is a registered trademark of EAR Specialty Composites and AERO Company.

Finally, each seat is trimmed in Alcantara® probably the finest fabric available. Its appearance, performance and tactile feel are unrivalled by any other material and to protect your investment, leather is used on the areas subjected to the most wear."

Can anyone comment on seat height in the car? Please also include how the seat is mounted. Many of us have trouble with head/helmet clearance.

Ok so in terms of seat mounting I suggest using

BRIDE SEAT RAILS AND HARDWARE. For Fixed Buckets we will simply use their side plates and seat rails due to their mutiple seat positioning options.

They have Low Down Rails, and then SUPER LOW Rails.

BRIDE - SUPER LOW = FG Rail = FD3S
1. FG Type with Side Plate: MSRP: $185.00 + $30.00 = $215.00

If you want the Cobra Side Rails you are welcome to it but PRICEY.....

COBRA SIDE RAILS: $145.00/PAIR + BRIDE SEAT RAIL OF $185.00
Laser produced quality engineered component
Multihole height and angle adjustment
Multihole base position adjustment
Available in 4mm steel or lightweight 5mm alloy
High quality polyester powder coated finish

GT SERIES SEATS ARE 3" WIDER PER CHART.

So that's what you would do is

FAT *** = GT MODEL
