What clutch you get depends on what flywheel you use. Which flywheel you use depends on the rules, and the rules depends on what class you are racing in.

So what class are you racing in?

Unless you are putting down more than 190 RWHP, I suggest that you use the stock 13B clutch from 84-85 GSLSE. Fitment will be good, and you won't have to deal with "issues" that aftermarket clutches may have. The stock clutch will work very well at under 190 RWHP.

BZZZZZ Nope.

If you are SCCA racing.. you prolly have a class that stated you must use factory style parts.

In MY opinion...
You want it to grab??
You want it to not slip?
YOu want it to NOT COME APART UNDER DOWNSHIFTING???

DONT USE A STOCK CLUTCH OF ANY YEAR.

Use a metallic clutch, unsprung.

FOR EXAMPLE.... the Act 4 puck unsprung is excellent in pricing and you just pop it into your existing clutch basket and bam you are good to go.

THAT is what it looks like.. ACT makes one.. check around.. they can be had for like 65 bucks I think.

And here for 83-92 cars.

I have had a couple of the stock "organic" clutches come apart while downshifting in a race condition. (I stopped using them after the second one)
