Curiosity?? Turbo and oil cooled question

Just curious if it is possible or if anyone does it to run your oil cooling for your turbo independant of your engine oil. Seems to me seperating the two systems may make each of them more realible or am I missing something?

Think about it. It all has to go back to the pan in any case, so it's easier and more reliable to cool it all at once. Fewer points of failure in the system.

It might help the turbo bearing not to put gross "crankcase" oil through it, but you can get the same effect by changing your oil after each track event.
