Compound Forced Induction

Question has anyone tried out this Compound force Induction on there RX-7 Yet? I was reading thru one of my new mags of the month and came acrossed it I was just wondering it had ever been done.

You mean like super and turbo charged? I think there was an MR2 that used this setup; not sure how the hell it works though.

I guess it has its advantages but IMO its pretty stupid.

I've heard of something like that where they called it a "somethin' superturbo". Don't remember where I heard it though. seems like it'd be more efficient to run two sequential turbos, unless you were only getting enough exhaust backpressure to run one, and you had to resort to running a supercharger to get extra boost.
