blown coolant seal; bandaids?

blown coolant seal; bandaids?

yesterday brother took the fd out, decided to top off coolant and forgot to tighten cap. resulting in the coolant seal failing when he went driving around. have pretty stressful event tomorrow that i have been prepping for. any bandaids out there that can get me through the day?

you can try a stop leak product but you'll have limited success

I have had great success with Alumaseal. Just put it in the radiator, and idle the motor. Keep it in there full time if you like. I've got over 30,000 miles on my repair with this method.

i wound up using kwik way ironite ceramic seal.

worked like a charm. didnt see temps over 95c and it stayed together all day.
