battery dimensions

the new srx7 rules have minimums for the battery. it can be no smaller than 6.5" H.... 5" W.... 7" L... and 23lbs. my dad is gettin me to do some research cuz he cant get his *** to do it lol.. anyway, i looked at optima red top.. dimensions are good, but 38 lbs. no. checked sears diehards... 39 lbs. no.

now im guessing that the SCCA rule makers based this rule on SOME existing battery. does anyone know what it could be? or if not, one as close to minimum w/o going over, of course? thanks ppl.

Odyssey PC925
Length 6.69"
Width 7.05"
Height 5.04"
Weight 24LBS

Looks like they were targeting this battery. (which barely fits in an FD engine compartment with AC & Greddy 3-row front mount)

Here's where I got the dimms:
http://www.thebatterybarn.com/Batter...ssey/pc925.htm

And the Odyssey direct site has the same dimms listed:
http://www.odysseyfactory.com/specs.htm

Put it on it's end?
