Anyone else preparing for the ne D1 competitions???

SCCA has announced that there will be 4 new drifting competitions around the US!!!

April 24-25, 2004 Road Atlanta Braselton, Georgia

June 12, 2004 Reliant Center Houston, Texas

July 11, 2004 Infineon Raceway Sonoma, California

August 29, 2004 Irwindale Speedway Irwindale, California

im going to try and make it to the houston one to compete (still have alot of work to do on the car and practice in the parking lots with cones!) if the entry fee is not too expensive and if my car is prepared correctly. anyone else scrambling to prepare?

im beginning to think i may not have enough seat time to qualify for the D1 competition.... im not bad, but ive been hearing rumors that the people competing have been competitively drifting for 5 years+..... that compared to my 1 1/2 of practice....well i still want to make it down there to houston when the time comes to see how i stack up and hopefully get some pointers from pros... maybe they'll have an open session, or a novice session..
