Does anyone here run a car at Bonneville or El Mirage regularly? Any setup information at all?

If anyone goes regularly, watch for John Stege on a motorcycle. He's running the 1650CC Fuel Altered Pushrod Non-Faired Vintage (mouthful!) this coming August for the last time on his Suzuki and plans on kicking his old record's butt. It was pretty damn nifty to find out my friends' dad was an LSR holder.

Anyways, I am looking at possibly doing a slowly-paced buildup on a 7 to try to get ahold of a record of some sort. Anyone have an ideas as to what to do?

What about transmissions, to get the numbers I'm seeing requires a hell of a transmission and probably a huge gear spread. Anyone mind elaborating? What is in the Racing Beat FC, does anyone know?
