I love everything about this car but I wish it weren't triple turbo. Isn't that preventing it from competing in sanctioned racing? Besides, a twin or single setup would be simpler.

But whatever, awesome times for an awesome car!

 

Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but that's not a standard 20B. The two intermediate housings in the pictures are identical, whereas IIRC one is normally thicker where the E-shaft spline joint is.

Anyone have more info on the build?

Apperently its pretty damn loud too, check out all the guys holding their ears in the background of the last picture. Guess they can't handle the rotary power!

 

I had a video of that car. IIRC its the current 3 rotor 1/4 mile world record holder. Was a few months ago when they accomplished that I think. Time to search my HDD for it.

They got 1500 horsepower out of single turbo 4 cylinder F1 and IMSA motors in the 80's and 90's. And they lasted for 2-4 hour races. Seems like this thing ought to have more.

i know mazda had a 4 rotor engine in one of there race cars the 787B race car.
did they ever put that in a production car

i think it has no intercooler cuz its not running on reg. fuel. my bros 1st gen has no intercooler either, cuz its runnin on methanol?
i dont remeber correctly but i think thats what it was.

 

it's not the record holder. Abel still holds the record. That car didn't run a 6.0......... no import has ran that fast. I think it ran a 6.80-90 or something like that.

 

lmfao im sorry but there are alot of stupid pointless ppl posting in this thread, Major league rx8 is a full tube chassi rx8 built by "Don Ness Racecars" and adjusted by "Gabby chassis" in Puerto Rico. The engine is a short crank 3rotor built by kiwi-re in new zealand. When the engine was bought it came tuned and all set with a motec ecu but the owner dint like the pogram done for it so he trew out the motec and installed a microtech in it ,wich made the guys in kiwi-re very upset, The tuner of it is Jose "Siquel" torres and when the engine needs a freshen up "Maikky performance" those the whole build up.The car hasent seen the track in about 5months already because its owner is having fun with his 7sec 3/4chassi 13b starlet.Also it dose not run a intercooler because the car runs on alcohol wich means it burns way cooler in wich you are able to eliminate the intercooler.There haves been a ton of threads in the past about this car on here also. Do your research 1st"El nene 7" before doing repost.
