Glad you had fun @ Willow!!!!
240F oil is too hot. remove the oil cooler and have it sonic cleaned and pressure tested.
Theres a shop in Carson on Main street that does sonic cleaning. Named Lanfried or Lanfreid. Also go by the name "sonic cleanng". Fifty bucks.
Test the thermostat in the oil cooler, make sure it opens.
Spray self expanding foam in all the cracks and crevices in the nose of car. Seal it up so that air MUST go through oil cooler or radiator. This dropped my temps 10 degrees! I buy mine at OSH. Red and white can. It expands 100% when it dries so spray conservatively. Latex gloves.
Royal Purple oil should lower temps another 5-10*F.
