13B-RE turbo set up

13B-RE turbo set up

ok some of the guys and i bought a 13b-re to drop into a 90 gxl that already had a t2 swap, the t2 blew so we decided to upgrade, anywho we odered the mounts and did some reseach on this CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG, 2 things first id like to be sure of this, from what iv read in this forum iv seen that the s5 t2 ecu and harness can run the 13b-re baby, now only problem will be the sequential turbo system would have to be modified. now hear me out, if we go with a single turbo set up, we will need injectors, fuel pump and of course the fuel set up (pressure regulator, high flow fuel filter and etc.) with the fuel management while running with the s5 t2 ecu and harness we can control the fuel with a super afc that we have now , will this work out for now????
secondly, where can i find a good turbo manifold and downpipe for a single set-up??

If you use the waterpump (front plate),s5 CAS, s5 ecu, s-afc and use a decent singel turbo i guess you`ll be fine. I like standalones better though.
Get a custom made manifold or buy something made for the S5 but i experienced that my S5 manifold made the compressor hit the LIM..

You might also have to change the rails and injector clips, depending on what arrangement you go with since the primary injectors are side fed and the secondaries are top fed. Good luck

i used an ebay manifold with reinforcements.

as for the injectors, i discovered speedmachineperformance sells rails to make the sidefeed top feed. Or you can do what i went with is use the clip from a FD fuel rail(the piece thats holds the injectors) with the 850' from the FD and bigger aftermarket. funny thing is, my gxl was swapped already, blew up and threw in the 13bre too, same year too. lol
