RR rotor housings: what do you think?
i think the easy way to fix this problem would have been a half refund.then he could have used it and only paid half for a housing with that groove in it.
if a housing like that would be perfect to use mazda would have made them like that all day .lol

That looks like premiture apex seal wear just waiting to happen. That is trash in my book... unless your building a junk motor...
I can not believe that someone would sell that as "usable" thats the same type of crap as selling a housing with a sparkplug hole half stripped out and say that you can use a heli-coil after the sale. I would return it an get your money back

...And who the hell are you to be making this determination? How many engines have you built? Cores torn apart? What's the highest power output of a car you've built? Most mileage? How many housings have you seen in your life?
housing
man these people bitch alot about something they dont know. I know a man that
Worked for MAZDA for 35 yrs all the way through the early yrs of the rotary engine this guy knew his **** when it came to the engine. he is dead now.
he helped me through my first rotary build and RR is correct acourding to Bobby . exhaust gouging is not as big of a problem as people think yes the engine is not as pretty on the inside but it works i used a housing that had a big gouge
in it for almost 5 yrs LOL not bad huh..if the gouge in raised it could cause premature wear but if indented not a problem..
Also think before you speak...
sometimes comunication is better before you make a big stink...
