A dis-satisfied customer of mine.

While the site was down I had somone email me asking about the silicone vacuum kits I sell.

The emailes went like this:

Buyer:
Dave,

I was wondering if you have a blue silicone kit for the 93 rx7 in stock and how quickly it will ship after paypal payment.

Please let me know asap.

Thanks,

Seller (me)
silicone vacuum hose or silicone what?

Buyer:
Blue silicone vacuum hose kit, Sorry, I forgot there is other hoses.

seller (me)
90.00 shipped DEI set

paypal is: SpooledupRacing@comcast.net

I get the kit at my place in 48 hours tops then I ship it FOR FREE 2-3 day priority

THX again

Seller (me):
I received your payment this morning and when placing your order I was told the DEI kit was out of stock so you are receiving another brand of 100% silicone vac hose and this kit is actually larger (in the amount you will receive) the kit cost was 10.00 more but I will eat that cost

Just wanted to let u know of the brand change and I should have this in my hands tomorrow depending on the time of delivery the package will either go out tomorrow or Wednesday either way when it ships the package will ship 2-3 day priority for FREE

THX again

Buyer (i received this today after the item has been shipped and received)
Dave,

I just got home from work and I received the hose kit today. Apparently there must be some communication failure with what I thought I ordered and what I received.

I thought I ordered a Silicone vacuum hose kit for a 93 Mazda RX7 as seen at the beginning of this email at the bottom of the page. This kit, based on Robb Robbinette's website, should have at a minimum 35 feet of 3.5mm and 10 feet of 6.0mm of hose. http://www.robrobinette.com/hoses.htm

The Hose Techniques kit most commonly used for the 1993 Rx7 comes with: 40 feet of 3.5mm (all small solenoids), 15 feet of 4.0mm (Windshield washers and boost controllers), 16 feet of 6.0mm (larger air lines on engine), 4 feet of 8.0mm (larger air lines on engine), and HoseCutter, HoseSlitter, 120 Ties. This is priced at $108.25 + shipping. http://www.hosetechniques.com/produc...oducts_id=2536

I made an assumption that your kit was a bit cheaper because it was not a name brand like Hose Techniques or you just bought hose in bulk and cut it yourself. My goal was to get a kit by Friday so I could work on it over the weekend. After you said it was from DEi, I did some research and figured it was something they made for very high temperature applications. My thoughts were that your kit would arrive much faster than Hose Techniques since you were much closer. If it arrived by Friday, I could get it done this weekend. When I called Hose Techniques, they said 5 days ground shipping once the order is shipped, assuming it is in stock. I decided to go with your kit.

I also figured your kit might not come with the hose cutter and wire ties, but I could get them locally. I was shocked to find what you actually sent me; a Mr Gasket G Sport Pro kit 11031B which contains 10 feet of 3mm, 5 feet of 6mm and 2 feet of 10mm. I would need at least 3 or 4 of these kits to complete the job. You charged me $90 for this kit. I could have purchased this same kit for $39.99 at Advance Auto right down the street (along with a $5 discount for ordering it on the web page). http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...tNumber=11031B Now that I look at your post again, you have pictured this identical kit in black there.

My goal was to change out the hoses during my days off of work this weekend and was hoping it would have arrived Friday or today, but that plan fell through. I have now ordered the correct kit from Hose Techniques.

I am requesting an immediate refund of my $90. I will also need your full name and address to return this package to you. I will pay for the return shipping, but you will have to eat the loss of the $5.95 that you spent on the shipping to me. I think that is only fair. As far as not refunding my money until I ship the package out, I will argue that I paid without seeing or receiving the package from you. I trusted you to send it, I expect the same from you. I have disputed the paypal payment to insure this refund occurs quickly.

Seller (me)
I am sorry you are not satisfied.. I have no idea how much hose it needed on a 3rd gen as this kit is WELL enough to do a FC..

I also told you this was a UNIVERSAL hose kit and it was silicone and it was in blue.. AS IN MY FOR SALE THREAD.

I sent exactly what I stated, I am sorry you found the kit cheaper (locally we don't sell these kits)

I sent u the EXACT same kit that I sell in for for sale threads...

If you want payment back and would like a refund I would need CLEAR understanding of where I messed up..

I stated it was a universal hose kit, you never stated how much hose you needed (no normal kit comes with over 40ft of hose in two sizes)

the kit I sent you comes with 10 ft. of 3mm, 5 ft. of 6mm, 2 ft. of 10mm. This is normally enough to do any fb or fc engine and should have done the FD engine to.

The fact that you went to paypal before going to me, put me in a dispute where I will fight this with paypal and let them decide.

Again I am sorry that you are not happy. However you gave me nothing to go buy I sent u the most commonly used silicone hose kit for a rotary engine.

It was posted in my for sale thread and if you needed it to be a special kit (which obviously you knew it was a special kit) you should have said so.
Again I said this was a UNIVERSAL KIT. that is what you got.

Sorry again have a good Sunday

I went to paypal.. I initiated the open dispute to close all communication between the buyer and me..

Paypal emailed me to clearly state this will not be investigated.

The buyer assumed, HE KNEW there was a special kit for the 3rd gen (those who dont have one would not know) Not only myself but others I know and buyers from me have installed this kit on a FB and FC and have had extra to go around. I would have no way to know that the fd had much more items that needed to have extra vac hose .

I would have setup some sort of agreement (possibly) however since he went DIRECTLY to paypal first and not to me I am out of this and it was put into Paypals hands.. they will not dispute this any further.. Nor will I.

It is up to the buyer to ask for SPECIFICS when purchasing something ESPECIALLY if they know it is a special kit for their car.. My for sale thread is in the 2nd gen forum ONLY. he went into that forum found the kit and wanted to buy it. IF he knew the 2g kit was not big enough and he needed a 3G kit (because it was special) then he should have made every attempt to make sure that the kit I was sending had the EXACT size hoses in the EXACT lenght he needed

Thats why you should not be selling parts on this forum. You have no clue about rx7s period. You just ***** your parts out and not do research on what you are selling. Have a great day!

I'm sorry that is not correct I know a bit oon FB's and alot on FC's I dont sell FD or FB parts however if a FD guy wants to come into the FC forum looking for parts being sold to FC guys then he needs to be EXACT about what he is looking for..

You cant tell me that all the sellers on here know everything about all the RX7's

THAT is just NOT true..

It looks he clearly stated that he was looking for a kit for his FD, and you said you had a DEI set for 90 shipped, so he assumed that this was indeed an FD kit since you didn't say otherwise.

Just admit you are wrong. You come on this forum for some sympathy and bash someone for your mistakes. Man you just f---ed your sales reputation. Like I said earlier you don't have a clue on what you are selling. I suggest you quit while you are ahead.
Thanks

Robert

Is this how you write letters to all of your customers? If I received a letter like this from a business I would think that I was dealing with some kid in middle school. Yikes.

I'll give you an E for effort for properly spelling "you" in one of those sentences.

Refund his money, and chalk it up as a cheap lesson. You sent him the wrong part, bottom line.

Why the hell are you making this public information on the forum when the buyer isnt? You're an idiot and its obvious you dont know the first thing about running a business 'MR. IM NOT A VENDOR BUT I SURE DO EVERYTHING A VENDOR DOES".....Start paying vendor fees fool!

BTW - This is an example of his poor tactics to screw over forum members - https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=692687

I'm looking into it now.

Dave, ever hear the saying 'the customer is always right'?

Keep going down this road and you won't have the option of paying vendor fees.

I wont pay the REDICULOUS vendor fees on this board.. I think the last time I was told the prices were like 50.00 PER MONTH.. hell I dont make that kind of profit in a month so it would not be worth it to me to do that.

So my selling has been revoked fine..
