That unit it looks pretty cool. I'm new to tuning(I just got my PFC/Comm./Datalogit). Anyway, I just got off the phone with a guy at Innovate MS and he said that their wide band will interface with a PFC, Haltec, etc. via 0-5 volt output. It also has dataloging built-in to the unit. The kit comes complete for $349. + 10(shipping) + 8.25%(CA Sales Tax). That's still WAY cheaper than the prices quoted on the RX7 Store's site:Wide Band Prices
The only downside, is that the unit it pretty big. It's 7 inches tall. So mounting it will be a challenge. Something the size of a paperback book on my dashboard will severely impair my view of the road. LOL
However, they are coming out with a LCD screen that is mountable and compatible with the unit. It's a couple months away from release.

Well, I couldn't resist... I just placed an order for one of these things. I figure that I will have to pay someone at least $350 to dyno tune my car, just once. This thing should give me hours of rotary enjoyment. Now, I just need to learn how to tune. lol

Well, I dug up some pretty good, detailed, propeller-head information about the Innovate Motorsports LM-1 unit.

The above link will take you to another forum where they actually got the designer/engineer (Klaus)of the LM-1 to comment on the unit. I must admit that most of what Klaus wrote was over my head.
At the begining of the thread, the forum members were a bit skeptical, that is until Klaus(Innovate MS) joined the discuusion. Then they wanted to start a Group Buy
I'd be willing to sponsor or act act the dealer to facilitate a Group Buy for these A/F Meters.

Im intrested.
Quick question- I am getting a PFC+commander soon, and plan on learning how to tune myself (since the nearest decent tuner is a few hours away) should i go ahead and get the datalogit also?
Will this unit work with the datalogit? or does it all go seperately?
I'm about to start searching for my answers, i just wanted to let you guys know im intrested in a GB.

They are also coming out with a separate mountable 52mm needle/digital display with a record button...woo hoo...
The Subie GB had over 20+ buyers and the MR2 GB also had over 20+ buyers. This item is hot.

Does the o2 sensor go in the downpipe? OR does it need a midpipe to work right? Reason is I am going to have the main cat on for a while while I learn the PFC more.

from what i have heard the end of the DP is best. too far down and the A/F ratios wont be as quick to move the gauge. you should be fine with the main cat in place

im going to setup(well rob my partner in crime) a log book/signature book that will allow you to sign up for the group buy on our website. all info will be kept confidential and given only to innovate MS. ill post a brand new thread when i get it taken care of. im not going to do it on here because im going to check with some of the other forums i visit(honda forum is where i found this) to make the group buy larger. Jpandes will be in on helping with this. PM either of us.

News Flash: The LM-1 w/ the Bosch O2 Sensor won't work with turbocharged Rotary engine. You have to use the NTK O2 Sensor. That is unless you have a 1" bypass tube welded in line for the sensor.
I have been struggling with my LM-1 unit for over a week now. Here's what I have found out:
The FD turbocharged exhaust gasses are much too hot for the Bosch 02 Sensor. I have been to the muffler shop three times now and have had three bungs holes(I need T.P. for my...) welded on my DP & HF Cat. I was trying to place the O2 sensor further downstream. I even spoke to Klaus of IMS and we have confirmed that I am having issues because of my excessive Exhaust gas and the sensitivity of the Bosch Sensor.
Patrick of IMS will be calling me tomorrow to see if he can get me an NTK 02 sensor to try out. The NTK sensor is less heat sensitive and should work since the FJO WB O@ uses it. I will have to make my own cord for the NTK, which is no big deal. It's just crimping 5 wires together.
BTW, the customer service that I have received from the folks at Innovate has been great! I will report back with the results after I get the new sensor. I just thought I'd mention this and save you guys some of the frustration that I've experienced.

No it's not Turbo'd
FJO and others usually go into the stock O2 Sensor location, that way you don't need to re-weld... plus what are you going to use that location for after you replace stock ecu with PFC !?

Ok, we've determined that I need to try the NTK O2 Sensor on my car. Innovate is Going to "lend" me one to try out before I buy one for $185.00+ They will also credit me $75.00 for returing the Bosch O2 Sensor.
Pretty good customer service if you ask me...

What do u mean by 1" bypass tube welded in line, do you mean that you have to relocat the sensor?

I decided to return the unit and get the tech edge WB 2.0 instead.
Another forum member was able to get the LM-1 working with his FD by fabbing a heat sink for the sensor.
