Would the power fc be a good choice with moderately modded FD?

I am in the market for engine management and i was wondering just how good the fc is. Most of the posts i have read about the fc talk about lightly modded cars. I was wondering if it would be a good match for what i am looking to do.

So far i have intake, dp, mp, exhaust, stage 3 port, 3mm apex seals, fuel pump, and within the next couple of months i plan to go with a single turbo upgrade and run about 15-20 psi. Would the fc be a good match for those mods or would it be a better choice to go with a microtech or haltech?

Also what other random parts would i need to get it running correctly. For example, would i need a wideband 02 sensor/monitor? would i need a 3 bar sensor? I am new to engine management so please excuse me if i am asking stupid questions.

Yes a powerFC would fit you perfectly. You don't have to be just "lightly modded" to use it though. You can run a bridgeport with a T-88 turbo, etc. and still be able to use the PFC. Those that use haltech, microtech, and AEM use them due to the higher "cell by cell" tuning. A PFC would be what you should go for if you were looking towards a stand-alone ecu. If you are tuning the car yourself, you would need a wideband 02 and datalogit. But if you were just buying it and having someone tune it, majority shops that tune PFC's will have a datalogit and wideband 02. I have the PFC myself and the commander to moniter its settings, wtr temp, inj. duty cycle, timing, boost, etc. A commander is just an option. I bought it because I wanted to be able to do a little fixing here and there myself and other things .

I'd take a PFC with the datalogit set up any day over the microtech setup. It will be fine for your plans in the future.

I went for the full-boat: PFC, Commander, Datalogit & TechEdge WB20 w/ display. The Datalogit and the Tech Edge cost me $700. I can now tune my car whenever I make a change to my set-up. It helps to have someone local to show you the ropes of tuning your AFR's...

Questing though, with all those mods you have now, are you still on stock ECU? If so you might be ready for a new motor too. (Unless you have your ecu chipped for now) But yes, the PFC is very expandable and is the reason so many get it.

Well actually it is in the middle of a rebuild so the car has never been run on the stock ecu with those upgrades. A lot of the items i have were just added on during the rebuild. Before it was just bolt ons...The previous motor was running a safc2 by the previous owner.

Thanks a lot for all your help
