Wiring noise suppressors for PLX and datalogit

Just a simple question.

with these two suppressors, do I just solder them to the wiring as shown? Do I need to wrap them with shrink wrap to protect them? Obviously a simple question, I just need a bit of an education on this subject.

Thanks.

Two capacitors for two output circuits: (1) 1 V lambda (2) 5 v WB
Only install what you need. Across the +V output and ground.

Of course you have to prevent any shorting out between circuits that are not intended. But how that is done is based upon how you install them.

Thanks Chuck. I plan on keeping the narrow band and splice it into the input wire to the ECU so I guess that means both. Wait. Hmm...

Do you have any suggestion on how I would install it so I wouldn't short out the system?

I see what you mean now. The only important one is the wideband correct? I really don't need the capacitor or the grey (narrow) wire.

Also, do I just shrink wrap these after they are connected?

If you use both outputs, then use both capacitors. It is simple wiring.
You only need insulation if there is the chance of cross connecting to another circuit.

I was doing this when I was about 14 years old, building my first HeathKit.

Thanks Chuck.

I think I did it right. Or at least I see the gauge working
