Will a 16 bit harness work on a power FC?

I saw that the 16 bit engine harnesses run a bit cheaper on rhd japan. Will it work with the PowerFC in a USDM car?

Just curious, wasn't looking to buy. I always thought that the powerFC was 16 bit. I guess not.

I've always wondered if it made a difference.

hell yea theres difference

i have a 2000 fd motor in my fc and i had it running on a 93-95 ecu and wire harness then i got a killer deal on a series 8 ecu , wire harness and map sensor , by the way the map i got from japan2la great seller by the way.the car revs out cleaner responds to minor fluctuations diffrently and is alot quicker. also it doesn't throw flames as much i dunno why .and it doesn't pop and after run like how t2's and 93-95 's do when you get on it and let off, just a smoother run, i'm guessing because the ecu is more refined and has faster processor and more resolution.

16bit =Much faster than 8bit.. This is how Mazda was able to make 280PS on the 99 and up GF-FD3S RX7's.. Most people think its just the turbos...The turbos hold boost better and the faster electronics helped make 20+ more HP from previous setup..

I don't think this is correct. They ran more boost in the series 8 and I'm sure they played more with the tune after the first 3rd gen. It would have been able to do the same power on the 8bit.
