Wideband Install question

I will be installing an LC-1 on my car. I was wondering because I will be turning off 02 FB loop anyways, can I remove my O2 sensor and put my wideband into the O2 sensor location? Are there any negative effects to this?

I have aluminized heat tape which will be all over the wiring incase that is a concern.

I join this thread because I'm going to install a PFC on my FD. Some people told me that I could replace wy O2 sensor by a wideband and suppress the AFM.

As I don't know a lot about this I'd like to ask the "pros".

Thanks in advance for any good advice.

The only issue with installing the wide bands in place of the 02 is that it sits very close to the manifold and the extreme temps can make the sensor go bad prematurely.

I actually just installed my wide band tonight. I have the PLX DM-5, I haven't wired it yet because it was getting late but I ran the line from the DP up through where the shifter is located.

My advice regarding where to install the wide band is to pick up an bung and bring it to a muffler shop. I doubt they will charge more than $25.00 to drill a hole and weld it on for you. I installed a bung at my friends who has all the tools needed and I chose to install it towards the base of the DP (at the top to avoid moisture collecting on the sensor), just about where the kink is.

That is where I put my AEM wideband O2 sensor about 3 years ago. Angle is not the best but it works
