who removed the screen from pfc?

i haven't seen my car in 2 months and when i get it back from storage i wanted to remove the screen and relocate it. when relocating, is it a ribbon that holds the screen to the control panel or is it a series of wires? i would need to extend it about three to four feet is this possible? i plan on mounting the screen above the steering column and the control pad where the ash tray used to be. any advice or pictures would be great help. i performed a search and could not find the pictures or threads that were in the power fc section (what happened to them?).

Hmm seems as though some one could make some good money if they made a DIN display for the pfc.
Looks nice.

In its stock state the two circuit boards are soldered directly to each other with little pins between the holes. De-soldering them was very tedious. I used 4 feet of 20-conductor ribbon cable from www.radioshack.com to connect the two boards. Solder the wires to the back of the display board, the holes are at the bottom. This will be clearer once you take the commander apart.
