what's wrong?

I purchased a power fc from SR Motorsports. I am running 550/1600 sinlge turbo with all the related mods. When I plugged in the fc I thought everything was cool. The idle seemed good, a little rough but good. Fans kicked on normal and when turning on electrical loads the revs responded by going up and then falling back down. Not a problem.

Here's the problem. The engine is not responding past 2700 rpm's in neutral or in gear. When I hit the gas pedal itrevs normal until 2700 rpm's, then it drops back down to idle while the pedal is still down. ??

After messing with it for a while here are two things I have noticed. 1. Right when I start the car I can rev itpast three grand and the engine is responding to my throttle inputs and sounds good. It only does this for about 2-5 seconds then drops down to idle and doesn't want to accept the throttle. 2. I plugged the stock ecu back in to see if it accepts the throttle inputs and sure enough it revs and there doesn't seem to be a problem
with the car. Why would this be?

Because you should not use a mail order map for a single turbo setup....and I've not heard favorable things about SR's maps.

Have you verified that the PFC is setup for 1600cc injectors?

It's set up for the 1500cc which is the max you can set it for without the datalogit. SR says that the reason it runs with the stock ecu is that the stock ecu masks problems with the car. I would think it would at least run before the secondaries kick in. I have an appointment with a tuner in a week. But I am trying to see if anyone has even heard of this problem.

You HAVE to have resistors wired in with the 1600cc injectors to work with the PFC. Since you say it happens at 2700rpm, I would definitely say your secondaries are the problem.

That does make sense. They should be wired up correctly, but that will be something I take a look at.

But why would the stock ecu run better, when the stock ecu doesn't even know I have the larger injectors.

Problem solved. I had a bad TPS.

The sensor check mode illminated VTA1and VTA2.
The volts read at 4.9 when sensor 1 should be around .35v and sensor 2 should be at .95v.

Changed the TPS with a used one, and the car runs fine.
SR motorsports base map runs very smooth.
