What exactly does this datalogit do .What can i expect to see out of it is it used as a fine tuning device really.

 

It will allow you to connect your laptop to your PFC, you can log data from all the sensors and it makes it much easier to modify your timing or fuel maps and other things like fan settings that cannot be modified with the commander.

 

I'm curious if you could get the datalogic and not the commander?? That way you can just make changes and monitor (sometimes) using the datalogic? Just a though.

Also, does the datalogic able you to see things in real-tiem as well?

Although the commander is of not much use to tune it is handy to have in the car at all times and look at the state of the various sensors, temps, etc.

The datalogit does allow real time viewing as well as charting, logging, etc.

The datalogit is one of the best things I have bought lately. (A Tivo box runs a close second.)

 

Besides making it easier to tune (no more cell, by cell cursor'ing with the commander) you can datalog. I charted some data from a dyno run that I did last week. The graph is from Excel...but the datalogit software comes with some graphing software too.
